Dear Carers
The staff and trustees of Carers Together hope this letter finds you fit, healthy and well during these very difficult times. As we are now heading, we felt it was important to contact you to ask how you are coping and find out if we can help you.
We are still open though working reduced hours at present. You can contact us by phone, email, through our website, or in person if you feel it is essential. We can also arrange zoom calls so you can see the person you are talking to and they can see you.
It has been recognised that unpaid carers are providing increased support during the pandemic and that they are under significant pressure at this time. Additional support is available for carers to help deal with and challenges during these unique times and to support the resilience of carers over the coming months.
We have available one off grants for unpaid carers. If you need extra help to pay for something we may be able to help you. If you feel a one off grant could help, do please call us to find out more and apply for a grant.

We are currently running on-line awareness sessions which you may find useful. These include sessions on living well, care planning, contingency planning, and support for parent carers whose child is transitioning from children’s services to adult services. Information about all the sessions available is on our website.
We would like to ask you if you wish to stay on our database, tell us of any changes to your situation or if you would like your name to be removed. This will enable us to keep our records updated. A form with the details we currently hold is attached for you to complete and return.
If you are a carer needing to offload or just have a chat, please call 08000 323456 – this is a freephone number unless you call from a mobile as some networks may charge. It is open 365 days a year – Mon to Fri from 10am to 8pm, weekends and Bank Holidays from 10am to 4pm.
We have enclosed some information that may be useful to you – of you would like to know more please do get in touch.
