New Forest Carers Friends - Gallery
NFCF Relaxation Day
On the 12th October this year, New Forest Carers Friends held a Relaxation Day for Carers in the New Forest at Lyndhurst Baptist Church.
This is free to people who are Carers or ex-Carers for both young and adults. A day where they can relax without their loved ones and be pampered!
22 attended and enjoyed having massages, facials, manicures, foot care, as well craft, calendar & Christmas Card making, Christmas ribbon decorations, model making, jigsaws, kurling, singing & making music with percussion instruments, or just chatting with people who are in similar situations to their own.
Information from Carers Together was available to them and its staff were on hand to provide help & advice.
The Day was sponsored by Hampshire County Councillors Carpenter, Harrison, Heron & Penman, who we thank for all their support and help.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and looked forward to the next one in Ringwood in March. Our thanks go to all the therapists for taking time out to be with us and the Church for allowing us to use its premises. We are only able to provide these special Carers' Days, because of the donations, or sponsorship, we receive.
