The method of obtaining enduring Power of Attorney has changed

- Since the 1st October 2007 EPAs have been called Lasting Power of Attorney (LPAs)
- applications need to be made to the Office of the Public Guardian
- there are 2 forms to complete - both 25 pages long. One is called 'personal welfare' and - the other 'property and affairs'. They cost £150 each to submit.

EPAs already drawn up before 01 October 2007 are still valid.
